BORN AND RAISED IN AGUADILLA, PUERTO RICO, THE BILINGUAL DR. DELIZ EARNED HIS DOCTOR OF DENTAL MEDICINE DEGREE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF PUERTO RICO SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY. SOON AFTER, HE MOVED TO FLORIDA, COMPLETING A POSTDOCTORAL RESIDENCY IN ADVANCED EDUCATION IN GENERAL DENTISTRY AT NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY IN FT. LAUDERDALE. HE MOVED TO TAMPA IN 2005, WHERE HE’S RESIDED AND PRACTICED EVER SINCE. WHEN HE’S NOT HELPING HIS PATIENTS DEFINE THEIR SMILES, DR. DELIZ ENJOYS EXERCISING, TRAVELING, AND SCUBA DIVING. HE’S ALSO QUITE A FOODIE: FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS, HE’S CO-AUTHORED THE TASTE AROUND TAMPA BLOG, SHARING THE MANY SAVORY DISHES FROM LOCAL, INDEPENDENT DINING SPOTS AROUND THE TAMPA BAY AREA.
